Aside from Christmas its also good for lowering blood pressure, stress levels and good for the heart.

A few ideas to get Laughter into this Christmas

So go ahead, laugh! Best thing, it’s contagious and once everyone around you is having a good chuckle the whole day becomes more fun, with each of you spreading joy and laughter to the each other.

Life can be serious sometimes so try to look at Christmas as one of those times to let go, relax, be happy & enjoy being with loved ones. Fill it with laughter!

Not only is this great for your health but helps you deal with any issues or problems and enhance your relationships with loved ones.

“Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age and dreams are forever.”

– Walt Disney

Here’s how…

No need to be a joke. The average person laughs around 13 times a day and very few of those times are due to a joke. More often, it’s from spending time with family and friends. Those you love who make you laugh in the most honest way.

Watch your children. On average, a child laughs 300 times a day while an adult laughs only 17 times a day so watch your children this Christmas, how they find delight in the most ordinary things and if things start to get a little on top, make sure you remember this time of year is all about the little ones.

Laugh at situations. Look for the good side of a bad situation, and uncover the humour of it. This should help to improve your mood and the mood of those around you.

Be spontaneous. Be natural and spontaneous, it’s will help you relax and feel happy being you.

Remind yourself to have fun. Be mindful and basically keep reminding yourself to have fun.

Try not to be defensiveness. Laughter helps you forget about being judged or doubting yourself.

Smile lots. Smiling leads to laughter and just like laughter, it’s contagious.

Hear laughter, go find it. If you hear laughter, make sure you levitate towards it.

Ask people about their recent fun. “What’s the funniest thing that’s happened to you recently”? is a great way to get the laughter rolling.

Be happy to laugh at yourself. Be willing to make light of yourself, share embarrassing moments, fun times and memories.

A day without laughter is a day wasted.

Charlie Chaplin
